Beauties,I'm so excited to share today's post with Mohawk Home with you! Ever since my husband and I moved into our home just over three years ago (...time flies girl), I knew that I wanted to revamp some of the rooms in our home. One of the best pieces of advice I can give that I learned quickly is to take your time and do one room at a time. My cloffice (closet + office) is my special place in our home and I felt it important to start here. I decided that my first step for this space was to choose a rug that not only gave the room a more plush feel, but some personality! The Mohawk Home Cheetah Spots rug does that and then some!
Mohawk Home creates a variety of products from kitchen and bath mats to accent rugs to area rugs and even rug pads. When I came across their brand last year, I knew they would be the perfect partner for the vision I had for my cloffice because you can't have a fab cloffice without a fabulous rug! I love that Mohawk Home has such a wide variety of area rugs and in various sizes. Plus, I love the fact that I could plug in the colors I wanted (...I was creating a mental color scheme), my lifestyle and the size range I was looking for and it pulled up a wide variety of rugs that fit exactly what I was looking for.
When it came down to it, I was torn between two fabulous rugs and with the help of my Instagram family, I went with the Cheetah Spots area rug. If you know me, you absolutely know I love a good print! This rug comes in two sizes (5' x 8' and 8' x '10) and I went with the larger size to cover the majority of the room. I love how soft and plush this rug feels. Plus, if we're being honest, cheetah is a neutral so it goes so well with any theme in a room! Since you all know I'm big on sustainability, let me add that their rugs are made from recycled polyester, which I love.
I love that Mohawk Home also sent me a rug pad to go under the rug. No rugs slipping and sliding over here! The rug pad can be used on floors with or without carpet and allows you to cut it to get the perfect fit for your rug. Since we have hardwood floors in our home, I started by sweeping and dust mopping the floor then we put the rug pad down. We put the Cheetah spots rug on top and then cut any of the excess rug pad that was exposed. The rug legit has not moved since we put it down and I love that!
I'm beyond happy with the Cheetah Spots rug in this space and I feel it goes great with the décor and mural in the room!
