As you all know, fall is my favorite season and it is finally, finally starting to feel like fall in North Carolina. This year, I am so excited because many of this fall's fashion trends are not only gorgeous, but easy to find at your local thrift store. Some of this season's trends, like plaid, animal print and suits, are so easy to find in more affordable places because they are wardrobe staples. You could take these prints and pieces and wear them for many fall seasons to come so it is super easy to make a list of the trends you love and carry them with you to your local thrift or consignment stores.
Today I am teaming up with Shamika of Fro Plus Fashion and Prissy of Rush Hour Fashion to share thrifted fall outfits. All three of us are lovers of great deals and thrift finds so we are collaborating to show you what trends we are loving this fall. For me, suits and suit pieces, such as blazers, will forever be a closet staple. As you all can see in this post, blazers are such a key piece for any wardrobe because you can dress them up or down. Give me a tee, jeans, a blazer and any type of shoe and you have a bomb outfit in less than five minutes.
I recently ventured over to one of my favorite local thrift stores, Mega Thrift, in search of fall prints. I was mainly in search of plaid and although I didn't find it on that particular trip, I did find a great charcoal blazer. The best part is that the blazer was half off so I walked away with this beautiful piece for only $2.50. I styled it in one of the easiest ways, but I made it fun by keeping the look monochrome. I think so many of us think of all black when wearing monochrome, but I love wearing an unexpected color to make the look more fun. This look is easy to recreate. Plus, the jeans and booties have become favorites in my closet already!
I love that in our collaboration, we all have a variety of looks. When it comes to thrifting, dresses are another great item that you can almost always find at a thrift store. I love that Shamika's dress has a beautiful, bold print and that she incorporated one of the season's hottest trends, white booties. Prissy's dress is so pretty and I love the boho vibes it gives. Her accessories really make the outfit pop!
