When it comes to my wardrobe, I believe in purchasing classic pieces that can be worn from year to year, season to season. I absolutely love dressing up my wardrobe with fun accessories, but if you told me last year that I would be on a major hunt for a fanny pack to add to my closet, I wouldn't believe you. The resurgence of fanny packs amused me when they first hit the scene because I could not believe they were back! I was never really into them when I was growing up so I wasn't quick to jump on board...at first. It wasn't until I saw several designer fanny packs that made me give them a second look.
I loved the look of the designer versions because it gave a trendy, convenient bag a more luxurious feel. Plus, if I rocked a fanny pack, I wanted to still look like an adult. I fell in love with this sold out version by Eloquii, but I kept looking. I'd been on the hunt for awhile until I finally found an affordable version at Citi Trends. I found this bag for only $7. When I saw it, I couldn't believe that it was not designer because the beautiful cognac color was so smooth and overall, it looked so much more expensive. I scooped it up immediately.
I decided to add this fanny pack as a pop to a classic outfit. Denim and a good sweater is such an ideal fall outfit. I took a cropped sweater I found on clearance last year for $10 and tucked into this Simply Be denim skirt. I added one of my favorite pairs of booties and Bobbi Brown lipstick. This outfit can easily be worn to hang with the girls or a fun date night. There is so much you can do with good basics like these are so there are many possibilities to how this can be styled in the future.
