Dope statement pieces are a must in your wardrobe. While I love a neutral piece just as much as the next woman, a statement piece can bring an outfit to life. From bold jewelry to a bomb coat, I love having pieces in my closet than can really take my outfit to next level. Needless to say, when I found this kimono recently in a local shop on clearance, it was a must to bring home. All this flyness for $10 ya'll... Yes, $10! I could absolutely not say no to it and styling it was so simple.
One thing I love about a statement piece (like this dope coat I recently wore) is that you can literally pair it with the plainest pieces and it still pops. With this kimono, I wore a plain tee, jeggings and booties. I paired it with silver jewelry and I love how everything worked together. Plus, one of the things I love most about this look is that all of my jewelry together was under $15. Shopping clearance and thrifting can uncover the most fabulous pieces. I found this ring last year for a couple of dollars at Goodwill, my earrings for $5 at Charlotte Russe and my bracelets for less than $5 at Cato Fashions.
