Is That Velvet?

I am often asked where I go for style inspiration. My style inspiration always comes from one of three places: bloggers, Pinterest or my own mind. This particular velvety goodness dress was a piece that I was inspired to get after seeing it worn on a number of bloggers. It looked so luxe and gorgeous that I couldn't believe it was less than $35. This is one of those pieces that I am not sure when or where I will wear it, but it was worth the investment. The quality and feel of the dress is so beautiful that no one would guess the price unless I told them!

I decided to pair this Simply Be burgundy dress with black accessories that you have seen a few times on the blog. I paired it with my favorite Lane Bryant moto jacket, booties and Old Navy hat. You all know I believe in getting the most out of my wardrobe and these three pieces will probably be worn for years to come. Also, I added a thin belt to the dress. Do you remember when Eloquii was first launched years ago and went out of business? I actually purchased this belt when they were going out of business for only a few dollars!

Overall, I love this dress! It was recommended on the Simply Be website via reviews to size down because it runs large. I did size down; however, I feel I could have sized down twice with this baby. Either way, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to pull it out in the future.
