Remember last week when I openly professed my love for iced caramel coffee? Making a morning stop at McDonald's for a medium iced caramel coffee is a faithful routine for me, but I realized that I rarely visit McDonald's for lunch or dinner. All that has changed now because of the new Signature Crafted menu McDonald's recently introduced. I'm a girl that likes options and if I'm being real, I love fancy things too. You get both with their new menu and who doesn't love being able to create their own sandwich? I had the opportunity to try the new menu for myself last week along with the Triad Women Bloggers Network and let's just say... McDonald's is changing the game for fast food!
Last Thursday, the Triad Women Bloggers Network and I were invited to try the new McDonald's Signature Crafted menu at a local Greensboro restaurant. When we arrived, there were tables set up just for us with tablecloths and flowers. One thing I can say about McDonald's is that I love how over the years, they have changed to a more modern, fun dining set up. We all chatted for a bit just before ordering our selections for the evening.
There are three easy steps when ordering from the new McDonald's Signature Crafted menu.
Step One: Choose Your Base
- Quarter-Pound 100 Percent Beef Patty
- Buttermilk Crispy Chicken
- Artisan Grilled Chicken.
Step Two: Choose Your Bun
- Classic Sesame Seed Bun
- Toasted Artisan Bun
Step Three: Choose Your Topping
- Maple Bacon Dijon
- Pico Guacamole
- Sweet BBQ Bacon
I chose the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken with Maple Bacon Dijon on the Toasted Artisan Bun. It was so good! I loved the grilled onions, maple bacon and of course the dijon sauce. Plus, I felt the sandwich was overall very fresh. Everyone kept saying how delicious the new menu is. We also couldn't help but use the frork that helps you pick up fries, dropped toppings or nothing at all. My experience has definitely made me keep McDonald's on my radar for more than just coffee. Plus, today, May 8th, is the last day that you can get a free drink and fries with the purchase of a Signature Crafted sandwich. A good deal, right?
