When it comes to my skincare routine, a weekly mask is a must. Masks help clear your pores of dirt and oil. Plus, they can help boost and replenish moisture in the skin. If I'm having a good week, I try to fit in two masks a week because the benefits are truly worth it. Now that I've incorporated all natural skincare into my daily skincare regimen, I'm beginning to look at all natural masks to add to my routine. Last week, I reviewed Bask and Bloom Essentials Tangerine Mint Soap and this week, I'm sharing an in-depth review of their Rose Purifying Face Mask. Let's get into how the Bask and Bloom Essentials Rose Purifying Face Mask performs!
About the Rose Purifying Face Mask
Formulated to detox skin of impurities, leaving it calm, hydrated for a natural glow. Dry clay allows full benefits of ingredients instead of mixing and preserving, also lasts longer as only a small amount is needed to mix for each use.
ROSE CLAY – Mild kaolin clay. It is effective at drawing toxins and impurities from the skin, without harshly depleting the skin’s moisture. It is also an efficient cleanser and exfoliant.
AUSTRALIAN PINK CLAY – used to cleanse and detoxify the skin, remove dead skin cells and create and overall refreshed appearance. It can also be used to treat acne and other skin ailments; poor blood and/or lymph circulation and sun damaged skin.
FULLER’S EARTH CLAY – make your skin radiant and appealing by getting rid of blemishes and acne scars. On the other hand, it also hydrates the skin, clears up black heads and whiteheads, and flushes out toxins.

My Thoughts
If you follow me on Snapchat, you know I have a love for trying new face masks. It's my thing. Naturally, I was very excited to try the Bask and Bloom Rose Purifying Face Mask. When the mask arrived, I was intrigued by the four ounce jar it comes in. This mask is a different than any I've ever tried. You have the control when it comes to this mask because you are able to mix it to actually create it. All it takes is a small amount of powder and the liquid of your choice to create a paste consistency. Bask and Bloom Essentials recommends water, aloe vera juice or green tea to mix with the mask. You can even mix the mask with honey for extra moisture.
I chose to mix the powder with water. It's very easy to add too much water to the mask so I recommend adding a small amount at a time. After adding water, I mixed it with a cosmetic brush. I chose a Wet n Wild brush since they are great quality, but inexpensive. [Note: Bask and Bloom Essentials will soon begin sending sponge brushes with each mask order.] I found that during this process, it was easy to create a mess so stir slowly. As I stirred, it created a paste that I then applied to my face. It was smooth and easy to apply to my face. As soon as it began drying, I loved the tingle it gave my skin. It took about 10 minutes for the mask to dry completely. I then washed it off with warm water. My skin felt soft after washing it off and I noticed the next day that my skin was less oily after applying my makeup.
Also, in talking to the owner of Bask and Bloom Essentials, she let me know that one of the biggest benefits in dry masks is mixing on the go and getting the full benefit of the clays without any additives or preservatives mixed it. She also states that dry masks last longer.
Rating: B
Overall, I like how this mask made my skin feel. My skin was soft and as days went by, I could tell that it truly helped remove oil from my skin. My skin looks healthy and has a great glow. The only thing that is an adjustment for me is that I have to prepare the mask myself; however, I understand that with some natural products, it does require you to mix and create them on your own. I actually feel this mask is going to work well for all skin types. You can mix the mask with the liquid of your choice based on your skincare needs.
Would you give the Rose Purifying Mask a try?
God bless & stay fab,
