My Caribbean Makeover with the UniverSoul Circus

If you follow me on Snapchat, then you may have seen the fun experience I had over the weekend. A few weeks ago, the UniverSoul Circus, also known as the #BestCircusEver, contacted me to let me know their show would be coming to Greensboro June 21-26, 2016. Knowing how much I love beauty, they offered me the opportunity to experience a Caribbean makeover with one of their Caribbean dancers, Krystal. I loved the idea so I was immediately game!

Since there was some downtime before their opening show this week, I was able to meet with Krystal on Saturday. Upon walking into her room, she was very sweet and accommodating. As we started talking, she told me she had been a part of the UniverSoul Circus since 2007. She also shared that although she doesn't normally do all the makeup for the dancers, if there is time, she enjoys doing their makeup.

As we got started with my makeup, she started with my brows and then moved to eye makeup. In asking her which brands she uses, she said that she prefers Sacha Cosmetics. She also uses NYX. I was excited as I realized she was applying glitter to my lids! Glitter has always been something I've admired, but I've never tried.

After doing my eyes, we moved to my face. She used Black Opal on my skin and I was amazed at how great of a match it was for my skin tone. It wasn't long before she was done with my face and I was blown away by how quickly and beautifully she did my makeup. I truly felt like I was a Caribbean dancer when she let me wear her headpiece from the show!
