Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of covering the first day of Winston Salem Fashion Week. Ever since I moved to Greensboro last year, I have been hearing so much about Winston Salem being a beautiful place for art and creatives. When I saw that Winston Salem Fashion Week was coming up, I couldn't wait to see what it was all about and it truly was a beautiful experience.
When I arrived to Salem College where the event was held and walked inside, I was immediately greeted by the creator of the event, Nikita Wallace. As I looked around the venue, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful everything truly was. There was art displayed on all the walls as well as delicious food for guests to enjoy during the reception hour.
I was able to mingle with guests as well as shop vendors. I enjoy supporting local businesses in the area so it was nice to meet new businesses! When the fashion show started, they presented four local designers, including southern favorite, Belk.
