I will be the first one to admit that I honestly did not know much about face serums until last year and honey, they changed my life. From the glow they give to the softness of my skin, I love them. I mentioned in this post that derma e now has a brand new Purifying line and as you guessed it, a serum is a part of the collection. I've been using the Purifying Youth Serum for over two months and I'm ready to give you the 411 on just how it works.

My Thoughts
When I received this serum in the mail, I was excited to give it a try. I only have one tried and true serum I use so I was looking forward to trying something new. What I really love about this serum is that it fits right into your daily face regimen. After cleansing and toning my face, I'm able to apply the serum and then my moisturizer. Also, it is so moisturizing that I can actually forgo face moisturizer if I so please, which is an extra bonus. I really like how easily it absorbs into my skin. My skin literally drinks it in and as soon as it does, the glow comes baby. Plus, a single pump provides enough product to moisturize my full face and neck. Even though I have combination skin, this does not make my skin oily so that's a major bonus.
Even though I love how the serum makes my skin look, one thing I noticed is that unlike some serums, it didn't have any effect on clearing any of my skin discoloration. The serum doesn't promise to do that, but since some serums are focused on clearing skin, I thought I would let you know. Also, after two months, this product was gone. I used it twice a day for two months and right after month two ended, the bottle was completely empty. Most serums I use tend to last at least three months so I was a bit disappointed it ran out so quickly.
Would I Recommend?
Maybe. It seriously depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for something to soften your skin and/or give you a glow, honey, this is it. However, if you're looking for something that lasts longer and is a bit cheaper, I'd continue looking.
