My Thoughts
When I received the butter LONDON Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon Collection in the mail, I was hype. I absolutely love lip products and I couldn't wait to dig in to see what these babies are like. The first thing I noticed with this collection are the colors. I love how they have a range of pinks, reds and neutrals. I would love to see butter LONDON add some bright colors like oranges or purples to the mix.
As I started to use the lip crayons, I was immediately impressed. These crayons go on very smooth and pack a punch of color. They are also pretty long lasting and last through drinking and snacking. I noticed I could get about four hours of wear from the lip crayons. When you first apply them, they are glossy and as the hours pass, it turns into more of a stain. Although the crayon leaves a stain on the lips, it is easily removable, which is a plus to me.
The kicker for this crayon beyond the beautiful color is that it has a built-in sharpener. Do you know how awesome that is? You can be on the go, need to sharpen this crayon and can do it right there. It also has a lid on top of the crayon that allows the sharpener to be easily concealed. I love it!
Two things I was a bit surprised by with this crayon is how easily it breaks and the cost. The tip of the crayon breaks easily. I naturally press firmly when applying lip color so it may just be me, but I can say that even though it can break easily, it's easy to blend the broken tip on your lips due to the soft texture of the crayon. Also, the crayon costs $20, which is a bit costly in my opinion; however, when you think about the great formula of the lipsticks and the built-in sharpener, it may be worth it.
Would I Recommend?
Maybe. These crayons have a great formula with pretty colors and a built-in sharpener for added convenience. For the woman that is all about convenience, this is all for you.
