Over the past year, there has been so much buzz online about Younique beauty products. When you mention the brand, most people think of the amazing lashes women have been achieving with their 3D Fiber Mascara Lashes. Although I do plan to review their mascara soon, I wanted to start my two part Younique review series with their Lucrative Lip Gloss. When I told Lyndsey, a Younique presenter, I'm a fan of bold colors, she knew just went to send me to review. Keep reading to get the 411 on the Younique Lucrative Lip Gloss...

My Thoughts
When I received the Lucrative Lip Gloss in Lavish in the mail, I was immediately intrigued by the color. As you all know, I love pink lip colors. The shimmer in the tube immediately drew me in. I tried it on in this picture I posted on Instagram. I noticed two things immediately as I began applying the lip gloss. The color pay off was not as bold and bright as I thought it would be and the shimmer I fell in love with in the bottle felt gritty on my lips.
The grittiness wasn't horrible, but it caught me off guard when I pressed my lips together. Although I know color pay off is individual (lip colors can look different on various people), I still felt it did have a pink hue. Since it appeared more sheer on my lips, I decided to mainly use this lip gloss over lip stains to add moisture and pop. I love how it looks over a lip stain, like Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bauhau5.
Used alone, the lasting power of this lip gloss tends to be until you eat or drink. Also, the shimmer seems to be left behind. The gloss over a lipstick or liquid lip stain is much more lasting.
Would I Recommend?
Maybe. The non-sticky texture and mirror on the side make this an easy answer to throwing on gloss on the go. If you like to layer gloss over lip stains and lipstick, this also may be a good choice for you. There are also nine other colors in the collection to choose from and most do not have shimmer hence there may not be a gritty texture. However, if you like long lasting lip glosses, this may not be your best bet.
