Kimonos are all the rage this summer! Ever since they hit the scene, I have been itching to get my hands on one! As I would find them in stores and try them on, I wasn't pleased with how a lot of them fell on my body. I wanted a longer one and thanks to 9th & elm, I was finally able to find one. When 9th & elm, a website of handmade and independent designers, contacted me about reviewing a piece from their website, I jumped at the opportunity. I was even more elated when I found a floral kimono on their website.
When I received the kimono in the mail, I was more than pleased with it. I was so hype about it that I wore it the same day. It hits the perfect point on my body and the print is absolutely beautiful. One thing I can say about this kimono is I love how it looks with shorts. By this one being long in the back, it covers up a little bit of skin. They also look great with boyfriend jeans!
I decided to be adventurous and pair the kimono with a crop top, shorts and heels. Since I'm heavier on the bottom, these Forever 21 shorts have been the only pair recently that fit me perfectly. I can't wait to wear this kimono next month on the beach!
Tip: Kimonos are sometimes one size fit all like this one, but by it being oversize, it fits a wide range of body types.
