Beyond fashion and natural hair, I am passionate about skincare and oral health. One essential part of my personal beauty routine is ensuring my teeth are the healthiest they can be. I have always been fixated on a white smile, but it wasn't until after college and unfortunately a root canal, that I realized the actual health of my teeth is far more important. It's great to know that Crest now has a mouthwash innovation, Crest Pro-Health Tartar Protection Rinse, that delivers both anti-cavity and anti-tartar benefits in one.
Also, Dr. Travis Stork, Emmy® nominated TV host of The Doctors and board-certified emergency medicine physician, has partnered with Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health to help others understand that a healthy mouth is an important part of a healthy body. I recently learned more about the connection between overall health and oral health and the new Crest Pro-Health Tarter Protection Rinse at the Shape Diva Dash Race in Charlotte, North Carolina while interviewing Dr. Travis Stork.
Crest Pro-Health Tartar Protection Rinse features fluoride to prevent cavities while the pyrophosphate helps to reduce tartar formation. Tartar is a hardened plaque substance that cannot be brushed away. Crest Pro-Health Tartar Protection Rinse also freshens breath, fights unwanted surface stains and strengthens weakened enamel.
After the event, I began using the Crest Pro-Health Tartar Protection Rinse and I love how smooth my teeth feel during the day. I feel like my dentist is going to be proud at my next checkup.

Have you seen Crest Pro-Health Tartar Protection Rinse on shelves in your area? What is one way you make your oral health a priority?

When it comes to my teeth and my families teeth, I'm always making sure that they're well taken care of. I make sure to brush twice a day and floss every day. Now with mouth wash, I need to work on that area since I don't do it often.
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence - I just got back home from my dental appointment and my jaw is still numb. The dentist is replacing some "really old" fillings I had done as a child. I'm proud that none of my grown children (25 and up) have ever had cavities and I will definitely check out the Crest Pro Health.
ReplyDeleteEKKKK! I love Dr. Stork! And I'm now going to be obsessed with his term "eating the rainbow" and I don't just say that because I think he's too adorable! As for the teeth - jeeeeez I need to take better care of mine. I think I have really soft teeth and brushing/flossing twice a day (well brushing twice a day) doesn't seem to help me!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest with you, for awhile, I didn't really see the point of mouthwash, but I've learned that mouthwash gets to some areas a toothbrush can't and can be really beneficial in preventing issues in the future. I've been enjoying this one since I started using it. Let me know how you like it if you give it a try!
