Last Friday I had the awesome opportunity to attend the Benefit Cosmetics Master Class at the Benefit Cosmetics counter located in Belk in Crabtree Valley Mall. This class was focused on one of the most important features of our face, the brows. I went into the class with an open mind and came out with way more knowledge of brows than I'd imagined.
Upon walking into the tent-like set up in the mall, I was greeted by the instructor, Heather. There were snacks as well as name tags showcasing names of those who RSVP'd. I sat near the front and couldn't wait to get started.
Heather began by talking about the history of brows. I never realized how much brows have changed throughout the years. Did you know that the brows from 70's were more rounded because of the roundness of disco balls? Wow!
We also got to practice shaping and filling in our brows. Heather practiced on one of the attendees and demonstrated where brows should begin, peak and end. I actually found that my brows are a little sparse towards the ends. They also educated us on other Benefit Cosmetics products. I loved the glow pencil!
I walked away feeling accomplished because I have always wondered how to apply brow powder like Tia does at the Brow Bar. I actually felt so confident that I purchased Brow Zings to fill my brows in with powder at home.
How did I do? |
