I mentioned in a recent post that I'm on a quest to build my wardrobe. After cleaning out my closet a few months ago, I realized that I was missing some key items in my wardrobe, including work attire. Since I'm on a budget, building my work wardrobe may take time, but through shopping at affordable places like consignment and thrift stores, Target and Walmart, I think I will be able to build my closet in no time.
Over the weekend, after my photoshoot with A Collected Gentleman, he suggested visiting a local consignment shop in the area called Passage Consignment Shoppe. I never expected to find what I did on this trip...
The store was having a great sale with 25-75% off select items. I found this paisley J. Crew blazer on sale for 50% off making it $13.50. How gorgeous is this piece? I felt this was a steal considering J. Crew blazers retail for over $100.
I also found a floral blouse with concealed buttons for $12, which is on trend this season. Both pieces were in perfect condition. Two great additions to my closet for under $30. The quest continues...
Have you been thrifting lately? Found any goodies?
God bless & stay fabellis,
Really like that paisley blazer. What a steal! Like you, I need to build my professional wardrobe. I should check some of the higher end thrift shops in town.

ReplyDeleteThanks! I still can't believe I found them. I appreciate you stopping by. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Aubrey! I usually tend to shop at the lower priced thrift stores in my area just because I'm cheap, lol, but I will definitely have to frequent some of the consignment shops more often if I can find deals like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chantel! :-)
ReplyDeleteI just moved to Sacramento and I've been unearthing some cool consignment stores, boutiques and thrift stores! I love that first jacket!!!!

I have been on a thrifting frenzy lately! The stuff is still in bags as I don't have space for it right now in my closet but I got some good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI never try any consignment shops because I'm scared I won't be able to find anything that fits me! May I need to get over my fear.
ReplyDeleteThanks lady! I bet there are some gorgeous pieces to be found out your way!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Girl, you better slow down. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely give consignment shops a try. To be honest, a lot more thrift and consignment shops are beginning to carry a wide variety of sizes. I'm honestly impressed. I prefer thrift stores, but since I can find designer labels at consignment shops, I may begin giving them a looksee more often. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous floral blazers.
