As many of you know from my last post, I had spent the past week gearing up for the Naturally For Your Glory SuperNatural Saturdays Meetup in Concord, NC. The event was great and was filled with great fellowship, food and fun!
I traveled to Concord on Friday afternoon with my mom. After getting checked into the hotel, I changed shoes and we headed to the founder of Naturally For Your Glory, Adrienne's, home for dinner.
Dinner Outfit |
I met so many sweet ladies and enjoyed dinner as my favorite gospel group, Mary Mary, played in the background. We also talked about our natural hair and went around and described our hair in one word. The word I chose was "empowering." I chose this word because I love wearing my natural hair and do not plan to change for anyone.
After dinner, we enjoyed two great cakes, one which was beautifully decorated to show appreciation for those who helped with the event. Adrienne also blessed us with candy and a t-shirt.
The next day, my mom and I got up early and got ready for the meetup. You may have seen the outfit I planned to wear in my last post. I wore the exact outfit, but I did switch up the t-shirt to celebrate SuperNatural Saturdays.
At the meetup, I met several beautiful, friendly naturals in the area. I even got to meet a fellow, BLM Girl, Kandis of Kandi-Style! I also got to meet natural haircare and skincare owner, Victoria, of Cream and Coco whom I had wanted to meet for awhile!
Mom & I |
During my speaking portion, I took time to talk about skincare and affordable beauty products. I also answered questions from attendees. There were a LOT of great questions! I was proud of myself for getting up and talking in front of a group for nearly thirty minutes! Wow! Can you say out of the comfort zone?
Thank you to Restorations Holistic Skin Care Services and Mary Kay for sponsoring two giveaways during the meetup!
After speaking, there were tons of giveaways, tutorials and question and answer portions! After the meetup, my mom and I hit the road and stopped at a few goodwill stores on the way home! I even snagged a vintage crossbody bag from Value Village for my trip to Chicago in a few weeks. Score!
How was your weekend?
Thanks for reading, God bless & stay fabellis!
