I was so excited when I learned of "I Love Thrifting" Day from Mr. Goodwill Hunting that I wanted to celebrate here in Raleigh. With the help of my co-host, Naturally Fashionable, we held a fun thrifting event from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. last Saturday that included breakfast and thrifting at two local thrift stores.
The first portion of our day was dedicated to getting to know each other over breakfast. I truly enjoyed the fellowship at breakfast and not to mention the great food Relish Cafe provided. I learned that there were also two more bloggers in attendance, including IMPR(4L)ess and Polished by Beauty. I loved chatting with them and sharing what our blogs are about.
After breakfast, our first stop was Cause for Paws, which is a thrift store that is using their profits to create their own non-profit animal shelter. This was my first time visiting this store, but it certainly won't be my last. They had an assortment of items and everyone found something! I snagged two sleeveless tops, including a black turtleneck crop top. After seeing Naturally Fashionable's post, I'm ready to rock my crop top!
Our last stop was the Salvation Army store. We had fun trying on items and coming up with outfit ideas. I even snagged a pair of brand new pants with the tags still on them for less than $2!
This was a great event and I really appreciated the ladies that came and took part. Also, a huge thanks to my co-host Naturally Fashionable!
